We’re dedicated to giving your furry friends the best.

Meet Lara

Lara first started her career in Corporate Finance and was Managing Director for a Global Not-For-Profit. In June 2023, she decided to change direction and founded Tails of the Thames due to the increasing demand for dog walking and daycare.

Lara grew up with family dogs and her grandfather ran his own veterinary practice for 40 years, but it wasn’t until Lara adopted her own dog (Cindy) just before the pandemic that she really found her passion for animal care.

Fun fact about Lara is that she plays tag rugby and tore her ACL 3 weeks into starting a dog walking company!

Meet Lucie

Lucie has been a devoted animal enthusiast since she was little. Seriously, if it had fur, feathers, or a slightly confused expression, she probably wanted to take it home. Her first pet at the age of five! A rabbit named George, who, despite his very formal name, was likely up to all sorts of mischief.

As she grew up, Lucie turned her love for animals into a skill, studying animal care for four years and walking away with a double distinction (basically the valedictorian of fur and fluff).

Then came ToTTs, where Lucie reignited her passion and now spends her time capturing the absolute supermodel essence of the furry clientele with her photography skills. She dreams of turning this into a full-blown career because, let’s be honest, dogs are way better at posing than most humans.

She now shares her life (and probably most of her personal space) with her fiancée, Deniesha, and their two lovable chaos-makers, Arizona and Phoenix.

Fun Fact: Lucie is a retired semi-pro footballer so if you ever see her casually juggling a ball while wrangling a dog, just know she’s in her element.

Deniesha has always been a devoted fan of four legged furballs, but life just never lined up for her to have one of her own.

Enter Lucie, her now fiancée and certified dog mom extraordinaire, who came with not just love, but also two built in, tail wagging roommates: Arizona, the fluffy and mischievous Miniature Golden Doodle, and Phoenix, the brainiac Border Collie with energy for days.

Suddenly, Deniesha went from dog admirer to full fledged pup parent, and let’s just say… life has never been more pawsome!

Being surrounded by all that wagging, wiggling, and woofing sparked something even bigger her passion for working with dogs. Now, she’s setting out to become a dog groomer, not just to make pups feel good but to have them strutting out looking like the supermodels of the dog park!

Meet Millie

Meet Kimberley

Kimberley has been a lifelong animal lover, with a deep passion for creatures of all shapes and sizes. She has dedicated over 10 years to volunteering with animals, gaining invaluable experience, and has spent 8 years working at a veterinary practice, where she further honed her skills and knowledge.

Recently, she embarked on her PACT dog training course helping her gain an even better understanding of our fluffy friends' minds, so she can provide them with the very best care and companionship possible. Fun fact: Kimberley shares her home with a beautiful dog named Zeus, along with 4 wonderful cats, 2 tortoises, and a lively parrot!

Meet Lily

Lily has been passionate about animals, particularly dogs, since she was a young girl, captivated by her obsession with "101 Dalmatians." Over the years, she has cared for a variety of pets, including hamsters, goldfish, rabbits, and cats. Today, she is living her dream as a dedicated professional in the dog care industry, focusing on walking and boarding dogs all day long.

Proudly sharing her life with her own fur baby, Noodle, Lily often invites him to join in on the fun-filled days with the other pups. Her commitment to animal care is further demonstrated by her qualifications, which include a Level 2 Dog Grooming degree and a diploma in canine communication.

Lily wants to expand her knowledge and expertise, with the goal of eventually becoming a dog behaviorist. Her passion for dogs is evident, as she seeks to understand every aspect of canine care.

A fun fact about Lily is her Italian heritage; she relishes the opportunity to visit her family in Rome whenever she can, combining her love for culture with her devotion to animals.
